From the bottom station
at Brülisau, the aerial cable way, cabin capacity 50 persons,
takes just eight minutes to reach the top of Hoher Kasten, 1795
metres above sea level. The attractive Appenzell region at your
feet, Lake Constance shimmering in the distance, the Mittelland,
Jura and Baden Württemberg seen from afar. The panorama sweeps
to mountain peaks in Bayern, Vorarlberg, Tirol, Liechtenstein,
Graubunden, Glarus and the St.Gallen Oberland as well as the
beautiful backdrop of the Alpstein region.
The new revolving restaurant, opened in May 2008, and the panorama restaurant offer good food with a variety of regional specialities.
