Arosa, altitude 1800m, nestles in an impressive Alpine landscape with lush, flower-filled mountain meadows, crystal-clear streams and picture-perfect peaks. Some 200 km of clearly signposted walking and hiking trails lead through the Graubunden Alps, such as the 10 Lakes Tour, a 15 km trail from one beautiful lake to the next. Or more strenuous mountain hikes to stunning scenic summits. Mountain bikers will be in their element on 50 km of trails and golfers will love Europe’s highest-altitude 18-hole golf course. Tennis, Nordic walking, Badminton, horse riding, fishing, beach volleyball and swimming are just a few of the other available options.
Arosa is of course a well-known winter-sport paradise with 60 km of excellent pistes with 13 lifts, 30 km of cross-country ski runs and 60 km of winter- walking trails. Ice skating, sledging, a fun park and half pipe are also on offer. And at 1800 m altitude, you can be certain of snow. Those preferring more leisurely pursuits and a little romance can take a trip into the surrounding countryside with a horse-drawn sleigh. Gourmets will find a wide choice of first-class cuisine, whether in a rustic mountain tavern or stylish Gault Millau restaurant. And when it comes to accommodation, Arosa’s offers range from the appeal of a simple mountain hut to the elegance of a luxurious five-star establishment.
